What comes to mind when you first hear the words "swing bridge?"

For me, I think of a timeless classic like an old song you'll never forget the words too.

But what does the phrase "Timeless Classic" actually mean and embody?

According to collinsdictionary.com "Something timeless is a classic of some sort that is unchanged by time. It's just as good as when it was created.

The world's first swing Bridge was created on the famous River Tyne in England. The was Bridge was designed and paid for by William Armstrong, with work beginning in 1873. It was first used for road traffic on 15 June 1876 and then opened up for river traffic in 1876.

At the time of construction it was the largest swing bridge ever built.

The swing bridge can still be found in Newcastle today and still remains not only a revolutionary invention but a timeless classic.
